I'm a freshman.
I believe I've made an important discovery: why high school destroys some students.
I believe I've made an important discovery: why high school destroys some students.
It always starts off the same in each class:
"Haaaiii, I'm Mrs. So-And-So and I'm your teacher!!!1! WE'RE GOING TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN <3"
I don't know why I expected anything different.
So then you're forced to speak to other people and fill in a "get to know you class even though you already know them since you've been stuck with them for the past 9 years" sheet in each class.
A few days later, you're told to draw yourself/colour something/make a "PRETTY" map of the room.
You realize at this point that you can't draw, and you turn in a pathetic piece of crap to each teacher.
So then you get some math sheets, some notes to write, etc. etc. until the real work starts.
By which I mean the big joke teachers love to play on students.
Group projects.
And by group projects, I don't mean the ones you work on for a period in class and then turn it in at the end.
This is one of those projects where you actually have to meet people outside of school.
And work on it.
And so of course the teacher won't let us make our own groups so I could, say, have a friend who lives near me come over some time so we can get the work done on time, and WELL.
Did I mention I had two?
Yep. There you go.
First world problems.
